Suzi 22/03/06

We've safely arrived and are having a great time enjoying Norway. The journey was great and Oslo is a fab city, there is lots to do. The people are also super friendly and have made this a great place to start.  On our way to the youth hostel we were standing at the roundabout debating whether the sign pointed to the second or third exit and a lady pulled over and wound down her window to give us directions! Everyone has been really helpful form there on in. Yesterday we went to the Viking Ship Museum and Vigeland Park and today we went rambling (more accurately described at some points as sliding as some of the trails were iced over!) in the Nordmarka, the hills outside Oslo. It was brilliant, there is a huge lake which was completely iced over so we walked right across which was a funny feeling! Tomorrow we are visiting Holmenkollen ski-jump and then catching the overnight train to Bergen. We were lucky enough to have a dorm room to ourselves the last two nights but tonight we have to move out into separate dorms so that will be a new experience! Speak soon and hope all is well xx
